Ficus Retusa (Tiger-Bark Ficus) makes an excellent indoor bonsai.  Don't confuse them with the potted Ficus you see in plant stores.  This is a great bonsai subject.   They will live with or without direct sun, but given the choice, they prefer at least a few hours a day.   Avoid direct mid-day sun in the middle of summer.  Watch out for scale & wooly aphids (mealy bugs)
