My first bonsai was a Dwarf Japanese Juniper. In the
last 24 years, I have sold tens of thousands of bonsai. I would
estimate that half or more of these have been Dwarf Japanese Juniper.
Considering that I have a list of nearly 200 cultivars that I have offered
for sale over the years, that is a startling amount. The reason
is that the Dwarf Japanese Juniper looks like most peoples idea of what a
bonsai is. In addition, It is strong, relatively pest free, easy
to care for, readily available, and adapts to a wide variety of conditions. |
