Ced-O Flora was created in 1926, making it 2 years older than Mickey Mouse.
In November 2008 the company proudly announced a new, more environmentally friendly "Ced-O-Flora Green" line to compliment its original formula.
That's not to suggest that the original formula is an ecological problem, but the new "Green" line is even friendlier to our planet than the original formula.
Here's the surprise. The new formula is actually less expensive, and just as effective at controlling the nasty critters that would attack your bonsai and other plants.

If you are battling either scale or mealy bugs (A.K.A. wooly aphids) Ced-O-Flora is the best, most effective, and safest pesticide you'll find. Three teaspoons in a pint spray bottle will make quick, easy work of these two stubborn, hard to get rid of pests.
It's also great for Aphids, a generally hard to get rid of plant pest. In past years, each fall, when we brought our Sub-Tropical bonsai & pre-bonsai into our greenhouse, we began "The Battle of the Aphids." Our Fukien Tea trees seem to be the "breeding ground" for these little "Buggers." We tried about a half dozen different pesticides (including a few that I considered much stronger than I wanted to use) with the same results. No Aphids for a few days, back in a week, then back in force in two weeks. Since I started to use Ced-O-Flora, aphids are no longer a problem or concern. It's mild enough to use every two to three days to get rid of a tough problem, or on a regular, monthly basis as a preventative (which we now do.) Unlike most pesticides, which work great for one or two pests, since using Ced-O-Flora on a regular basis, we no longer see Aphids, Mealy Bugs, Scale, Spider Mites or any other plant pests in our greenhouses.

It is diluted, and applied with a misting bottle.
